The project: “Istanbul Free Tour”

 

“Factor Foundation” was registered on 13.08.2009 according to the Law on Non-profit legal entities. It is entered in the Central Registry for Non-profit legal entities with the objective to carry out socially beneficial activity, under № 20.091.116.011. Registration number of the mark “i THINK!” is 76139. All rides reserved.

The priorities of “Factor” Foundation are science and ecology. The basic idea is the creation and use of enduring, sustainable and environmentally friendly products, through ecological researches and promoting of Eco tourism.

The initiative: “Istanbul Free Tour” has been created of the “Factor Foundation” with a reason and the most important aspects of a project that is to create a sustainable product with a promoting of:

 

  • Increase the ECO culture of the society.

 

  • Promote a healthy lifestyle in the civil society.

 

  • Encourage and help in the creation of conditions and infrastructure for Cycling Safety, Cycling Tourism, Eco Tourism, Eco transport.

 

  • Creative a positive attitude and thinking among the young people in their relation to the environment.

 

  • Develop and promote Eco tourism and art, in broad sense, as a tool for education, communication and social integration.

 

We believe, that every guest of the city or traveler, no matter of the budget, should be familiar an unique and colorful Istanbul seen through the eyes of the locals by Eco tours – walk and bike, fun and relax way.

The tours are free of charge. The volunteers – guides work only on donations. For the purpose we use different approaches, both to raise funds and to achieve the objectives of the initiative “Istanbul Free Tour”.


Start Point: German Fountain

 

EVERY DAY:

1. Free Walking around Istanbul Old Town

See several landmarks such as SultanAhmed Blue Mosque, Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Meydani), Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya Museum), Topkapi Palace (Topkapi Sarayi), the Grand Bazaar (Kapalicarsi) and many others.

2. Free Biking around Istanbul City Wall

Bike tour around the Old city walls where you will see the seaside and land walls, various inputs and outputs of the city, the unique Bulgarian St. Stephen Church, Red City High School, bay Golden Horn, Egyptian market and many others.
